About LOCUS
LOCUS is the AI-guided pre-health navigator for Georgia students. It finds the clinics, labs, and shifts near you, ranks them to your profile, and turns every logged hour into the story that gets you in. It is free for the first 100 students and built by students who were tired of hunting through listservs and GroupMes for the same handful of spots.
Who it is for
Pre-med, pre-PA, pre-dental, pre-nursing, and other pre-health students at Georgia schools: UGA, Emory, Georgia Tech, Georgia State, Mercer, Kennesaw State, and more. Opportunities today are concentrated in Athens and Atlanta. LOCUS is independent and not affiliated with any university or advising office.
How it works
- Answer ten quick questions about your year, school, interests, schedule, and where you can get to.
- Get five ranked picks each week from 266 opportunities that are actionable today.
- Log your hours and a short takeaway after each shift, then export everything in AMCAS format.
How opportunities are verified
Every listing’s link and contact are checked before it goes live and re-checked on a schedule. Listings that close, fill, or go stale are removed, so the live count moves on its own as deadlines pass and application windows open.
What “AI-guided” means
A ranking engine scores each opportunity against your profile and picks the five that fit best this week. It ranks and matches. It does not chat, and it never writes your application for you.
